ABOUT US

Paratus Emergency Services was conceived with the intention to provide employers with a skilled rescue team with years of training in the emergency services. Comprised of Firefighters, Paramedics, Military, Nurses, and Rescue Technicians the staff has extensive experience in technical rescue ranging from high angle, low angle, confined space and more. We pride ourselves in being leaders in the emergency services field and look to offer all our knowledge and compassion to companies and workers around the globe.
Paratus Emergency Services has been Peterborough based for over a decade, but most skills were honed on the Albertan Oilfields. From the forest fire of Fort MacMurray (2015) to the isolated industrial sites of Northern British Colombia the members of the rescue team have been employing their emergency response skills.
The rescue teams have studied under countless leaders to preform the best industrial rescue on Alberta’s oilfields. Witnessing multiple fatal omissions made by other contractors Paratus Emergency Services has been able to take from these scenarios, learn and improve.
Taking short cuts or risking life safety are two acts that Paratus Emergency Services rescue teams will never preform. With an advanced training program, the rescue teams are required to meet specific standards every three months. The Paratus Rescue leadership stay up to date on all current trends in the emergency services field and apply them in practice on sites.

OUR SERVICES

High angle, confined space and all other types of simple or complex rescue require  specific skills and equipment. Working with Paratus Emergency Services will ensure that all your needs are met with the highest quality training and state of the art gear. The ability to preform intricate high angle rescue, the proper breathing protection for hazardous confined spaces or the medical knowledge to stabilize casualties Paratus Rescue will provide your workers with the safety and confidence they deserve.
High Angle Rescue
Paratus Rescue is exceedingly well versed in high angle rescue and  can preform anything from simple one worker picks off fall arrest to complex multi-causality Norwegian Reeve Highline basket rescues. No matter the situation your workers will be retrieved and transferred to paramedics.
Confined Space Rescue
Confined space work is highly hazardous, the Ontario Ministry of Labour has added steep fines and potential jail time for companies not willing to comply to the safety standards. Paratus Rescue is always prepared with its own self contained breathing apparatus and the physical training to rescue workers if an issue is to arise. The Golden Hour rule, getting the worker from the confined space to the hospital, is the time frame were the chance of survival is highest.
Standby Medical
More than 70% of incidents on site are medical related. Unfortunately, this is where most companies and employees are weakest. Paratus Rescue has all members of the team trained to a minimum of Emergency Medical Responder some even trained up to Primary Care Paramedic.
